Dr. Norma Poindexter

​Caring for people is my passion. I became a nurse at the age of 19. I had the opportunity to be a travel nurse, experiencing various areas of nursing for over 38 years. I gradually went back to school in the last seven years to obtain a bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degree in nursing. The last 13 years have been spent as an ICU nurse at the best Level 1 Trauma Center in the southeast. It was in this ICU that I came to know the true meaning of life and death. Helping people is my passion and being a nurse I realized that many trials come from not having resources or directions from experienced individuals. My desire is to assist those who truly want to do better in life through a peaceful avenue. Peace makes the journey easier and more fulfilling. The hustle and bustle of everyday life can distract and mislead a person to feeling frustrated and worthless. Shalom House Inc. #2 is here to provide peaceful transitions during life's crisis.
